Nórr created a new identity system, packaging design and website to start the business with a strong and meaningful visual identity.

Kaffe Obscura roots and background story are in photography so it was natural that the identity borrows elements from the world of photography. Roast degrees are marked using aperture steps – familiar to photographers. Even the name itself has a strong bond to the history of photography.

The basis of the visual identity is the use of dedicated typography style that stands as visual cornerstone for Kaffe Obscura. Bold, condensed and widely used in capital style. The typography sets the brand statement in print, packaging and website. Also with quality coffee beans coming from various regions around the world. A colouring system was designed to help customers recognize their favourite taste and roasts. Returning to your favourite coffee taste is always natural and easy. Enjoy!
